The construction sector is witnessing a rapid growth and development because of the increasing number of people. The need to set up new buildings and infrastructure to replace the old damaged ones is another reason. Professionals in building and construction get occupations. Work involved in construction industries includes building residential, non-residential houses and infrastructure such as roads and railways.
The rising demand for domestic homes subsequently has led to an increase in buildings being set up. This is influenced by the increase in the number of people and the necessity for accommodation both in the countryside and town. The need will keep rising to accommodate the population. Looking to the future, the children as for now will be grown up and hence increased need for living facilities. This, therefore, leads to growth in the construction industry.

Works involved are building and repairs of bridges, highways,railways, and pipelines.
Erection of electric cables and lines will remain rising and developing years to come. The necessity for power keeps increasing across states. It therefore points into construction of additional power plants or connecting to the existing power grids.
Despite the above praise and expected success for the construction sector, it is facing some challenges. The performance of the construction industry spending depends on the following sectors.
Buying and selling. Marketing of goods and services have been highly impacted by the use of internet for business transactions. It has overcome a bigger scope of the market. Thus caused a number of shops and stores failing.
The construction of education facilities have largely been affected due to financial challenges faced by the government. The need for building industry is therefore reduced.
Similarly, the medical facilities is impacted by population. The construction industry is affected also.
The manufacturing sectors are greatly affected by competitions from different countries. This has led to closures of some industries.
